World change intervals that makes sense. Mean -- oil change intervals after today folks that are every 101000 miles every 151000. Miles. It's unbelievable and and the reason it's such a big deal was because of oil slugging and you know you drive your car every day and that will gets hot it's kind of baked on a little bit and it breaks down and it's gotta be changed. At -- or change it often enough that begins to. Sludge. And sort of -- ideally and get all -- ducked inside of your and you say well you know what why is that such a big deal. Well has there -- lubrication. And the part severe engine internal parts of your engine that have to be lubricate -- at today's cars today's engines have a lot more moving parts. Inside of in the need to deliver Qaeda then old engines do well happen that day. Mean years ago what we had camp's effort crank shaft we -- pistons and you know rock her arms all that stuff timing chain. Don't -- still have that oh yeah -- they do they've got it and they've got at times to work times for. Some cars today have four camp chest instead of one VH with overhead cam engines have dual cam -- and the children. And massive timing chain systems they've got. One of the things that I ran into this week that maybe thank goodness. Is a problem once and Nissan. Put on the window sticker of every new call or how much is gonna cost you the consumer to maintain that car for one year. So if value change your oil saying every 3000 miles you drive 121000 miles here that's for oil changes a year. But what if I tell you can change your oil every 6000 miles. And you drive 121000 miles your network down to two oil changes a year guess what I'd just Kutcher maintenance cost in half. Well I'm Monica Jermaine is costs in half. But I bumped up your repair cost we'd. Pick up there. Somewhere down the road so what that's reason number one. That's that the federal requirement. So their reason number two he actually is even worse in my mind and that is because. We have this environmental thing going on you know and everybody's got to be green -- got to save the planet. And you know when you change your oil you have to do something with waste oil. You know you. And down to I think the manufacturers. Have succumb to that pressure environmentalist. And instead. Of changing your oil and having dispose of twenty quarts of oil a year we'll change your oil. Twice here don't have dispose of ten -- So I think number one it's about being able to advertise that you can. Maintain your car for half the money number two it's about getting rid of half or even a third of the waste oil. And that neither of those things in my mind make good sense in terms of what's best for your car was best for your pocketbook long term some here today to tell -- Change your oil every 3000 miles and just let it be that. Take good care of your car it'll last a lot longer and you won't have the problems that. I see every single day now when you -- have the problems I'm glad to help you. So not mad at you I'm really really ticked at the manufacturers. For their oil change. Into full nonsense.

And the problem with ethanol in cars that are not designed to run on ethanol is is the alcohol -- the -- continent and we we call. Those -- 85 it's 85% ethanol 15%. -- unload fuel. And and and the problem -- that is has to do and number one cold natured kind of performance issues. -- that that the 85 alcoholic just not gonna burn that well when it's cold. So it's gonna run rough is gonna give -- all sorts of problems the only notice it that much this time of year but in the wintertime certainly would have a problem. And -- can cause damage to feel objectors to fuel pumps which are submerged inside gas tanks now. Ando all kinds of corrosion issues with fuel lines and in in in fuel system so. And also in the engines it that it burns hotter and so it could cause damage to that valves and pistons in May be in -- and think over long period of time.

You know that the main benefit of alcohol -- over the years has been to. Get rid of water. You know -- conversation or water that might get into fuel systems.

But let's move away from the fuel track for a second then in the go -- in more than electrical kinds of things and that's. My guess is as intermittent is this thing is the fact that it never Clinton's justice you know stop running completely and -- stop running. Crank shaft to position sensors are known to go on these callers. Do you there's a little test that you can do for that that the crank ship's sensor is down near the crank -- at the bottom of the of the engine. If you can very carefully get a very long. Screwdriver. Word. Some sort of of blunt ended instrument. And while the cars running very carefully because you've got drive belts going around at things tap on that sensors he didn't get the Carter shut off. Pay that little political tap detestable things. As you can try that. The other thing is the air flow sensors in and they measures. The amount of air coming into the engineers think it fails and it doesn't see any air coming in and the computers as well. No -- no fuel that's -- we're done. They shut the thing down so that's that's also -- possibility -- that two most common electrical kinds of failures we have ignition modules and EC ends of which is the computer itself. They -- sensor may be Cannes censor. Those of the most common things in the reason I ask if they had any codes in the system is generally. You know if it sees a failure it's gonna group register some sort of a code in and at least it's will be in the memory the system there. So. I hope that's enough at least gives you a couple things to think about and and and look over.

That that throttle bodies got to be cleaned out really well and that -- motor cleaned out I think that'll settle the I'll speed down to where they'll. It'll not to feel like it's gonna stall or run real slow when you first started and hopefully it'll take care of the surging issued to.
We're not gonna plan this promoter and I -- the proper body is so poor -- and I evidently didn't while also. Be so -- visit.
